At YCIS Beijing, we express the generous and joyous spirit of Christmas in various ways. We strive to bring joy and happiness to others, which is the main essence that fills the holiday season. Our YCIS Beijing singers have been spreading Christmas cheer by performing their delightful Christmas songs, while our school community has been actively participating in charitable causes through the Christmas Wish Tree organised by the school’s Parent Organisation (PO).
Harmonious Sounds Finale
The YCIS Beijing Singers End on a High Note
Our school singers have put in a tremendous effort to deliver a series of spectacular Christmas concerts at various external venues and events. They recently concluded their concert series with outstanding performances at the Ritz Carlton Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and the AustCham Ambassador’s Christmas Farewell Dinner special occasion. We are deeply thankful for the dedication and perseverance our students demonstrated throughout rehearsals and concerts, adding to the beauty and harmony of the Christmas season with their enchanting music. We would also like to extend a special thank you to our choir leader, Mr Devreaux Poole, and Head of Arts, Mr Gordon Robb, for conveying their passion for music to our students through their tireless work and commitment. We are eagerly anticipating what our choir will rehearse next!

The Christmas Wish Tree Spreads Joy
Christmas is also about giving back, helping those in need, and the happiness that shines in children's eyes. Our annual Christmas Wish Tree Project, organised by the YCIS PO, is a long-standing annual tradition. This year, YCIS Beijing families donated toys and warm winter care packs to two charity organisations: Dew Drops and The Beijing Green Grass Foundations, both of which support orphans with special medical needs. Our students' participation in this charity drive was overwhelming this year. Santa Claus himself thanked the students in ECE to Primary for their generosity as he collected their gifts for their less privileged peers. He also had a small surprise for the students in his bag as a token of appreciation.
We want to thank all YCIS Beijing families for giving back to the community and expressing their love and care for children in need. We wish everyone a joyful and harmonious holiday season.
