The acceptances are also a reflection of the growth of every student throughout the four-year university application process.

This process is guided by our University Guidance team and is a partnership between the student, their parents, and the school. Through the process, each student reflects on and discovers their unique strengths and abilities, interests, and goals, which helps them identify the best schools that match their professional interests, character and life aspirations.

About the University Guidance Process at YCIS and YWIES

The University Guidance Office (UGO) at every YCIS and YWIES Secondary school is dedicated to providing professional guidance to all students regarding their higher education admission and career options.

The YCIS and YWIES UGO Team comprise a total of 20 advisers with expertise in higher education. The counsellors hail from different countries and have strong professional backgrounds. Some served as former admission officers at British and American universities; others were university lecturers, teachers, coordinators, and counsellors. They bring with them a range of skills, knowledge, and experience to benefit each one of our students.

The role of the UGO Team includes the following:

Helping students identify their talents, capabilities, interests, and goals
Meeting with students and their families regularly
Providing information on university strengths and entrance requirements
Guiding students through all aspects of their university application process
Helping students prepare for university entrance tests, including conducting mock interviews
Providing professional advice to students on offer selection
Inviting overseas universities to attend dedicated information sessions and fairs on campus
Building relationships with overseas universities admissions offices
Conducting parent workshops on higher education admission, and more

The Alumni Network

Yew Chung and Yew Wah have a network of alumni spread across the world. We recommend all graduates subscribe to our alumni Wechat official account [ID:YCYWAlumni] and join us at our alumni engagement platform [The Yewtopia].

This unique platform will provide you with the opportunity to meet and reunite with students, alumni and teachers. You can also get in touch with them by sending them a message or by joining our E-mentorship programme. Questions and problems in regards to academic, career and personal matters will be supported by our alumni.
