With the new academic year quickly approaching, YCIS Beijing warmly welcomes our new academic staff. These new educators join us in our mission of unlocking students’ full potential and in becoming global leaders and creative innovators of the future. Our new staff members are highly qualified and experienced international teachers from all over the world, including the UK, the US, China, Ireland and Australia, with an average of over 14 years of teaching experience.

Our new staff orientation provided in-depth training and development for our incoming academic staff. During orientation our School Leadership Team welcomed the new staff, made introductions, invited academic and admin leadership teams to impart their vision and immersed them in the School culture, all while having fun along the way. This ensured the new staff gained a deep understanding of our core values, vision and principles of YCIS Beijing.  

To best support our new educators, they were provided with information on adapting to life in Beijing, connected with support teams, and took a deep dive into School practices.

The orientation and training concluded with a unique Chinese cultural outing to the National Museum where our new staff were able to experience extensive exhibitions and historic Chinese relics.

We are excited about our new educators and the wealth of expertise they bring to YCIS. We eagerly anticipate seeing them in action.

We were delighted to reunite with our staff as we gear up for the new academic year.  Our team enjoyed a welcome breakfast and spent quality time together.

Training and professional development sessions commenced, including reviews of our systems and safeguarding practices, engaging in coaching sessions, and collaborative planning and preparation in teams for the exciting school year ahead. We are ready to meet the students!

We are pleased to share the latest updates to our campus, designed to improve the learning environment and enrich the overall experience for our students, staff, and families.

Our campus is thoughtfully designed to educate, inspire, and spark creativity. The safety and security of our students and staff are top priorities, and with this in mind we have recently completed a comprehensive upgrade to our fire alarm system to ensure the highest standards of safety. We have also enhanced our professional teaching areas to better support our academic staff, along with enhancements to our learning centers to best support our students’ drive for success in today’s interconnected world. To promote the health and wellbeing of our community, we have improved our outdoor areas, creating inspiring and collaborative environments.

The new school year is about to begin, and we can’t wait to welcome our students back with open arms and big smiles!
