After short break over Spring Festival, the inter-school sports competitions are back in full swing and the YCIS Beijing Scorpions are dominating their opponents on the court!

On Thursday, February 24 the Girls Under 14 basketball team were first up demonstrating excellent teamwork and impressive shooting which allowed them to close out their opponents with a score of 36 – 10. Monday, February 29 continued the winning streak with a victories against the German School for the Under 14 Boys and again for the Under 14 Girls. Both teams posted solid wins at 34 – 22 and 23 – 19 respectively. Special mentions go to Kalsie Timms for her great shooting, Isabella Schmid for her fantastic free throws, and to Marco Tong for his team play and great rebounding throughout his game.

It’s great to see YCIS Beijing students succeed not only in the classroombut on the court too. We wish both teams luck and hope they continue their impressive run as they prepare two matches and a larger tournament next week.
