Football is one of the most popular sports in the world and Yew Chung International School of Beijing’s interschool football teams have enjoyed engaging with the sport (and seen consistent success during various tournaments). To help students further develop and hone their skills, YCIS Beijing has invited China ClubFootball to come to our campus and give students interactive football workshops and specialised training for a few teams to assist them in reaching their true athletic potential and discover the fun that is competitive football.
Football workshops for Primary students ran during students’ regular physical education classes throughout the week of March 7 to 11, while Year 9 students are receiving four weeks of personalised coaching. During the workshops, students have learnt several training methods and have been guided by the coaches in basic and advanced dribbling, passing, and shooting techniques. The classes have been a great help in introducing the sport to those who have never played and given veteran players the opportunity to pick up new skills.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! China ClubFootball is also holding courses outside class-time. They’ll be having their own dedicated After-School Activity (ASA), which will run on Thursdays when Spring ASAs begin on April 14. For students who really want to get more out of football, weekend classes having been running since January 9.
